Happy Winter! Here are some tips to keep your tires in top condition:

Check Tire Pressure Regularly

Cooler temperatures can cause tire pressure to drop. Underinflated tires reduce fuel efficiency and increase wear. Use a tire gauge to check your pressure monthly and adjust according to the manufacturer's recommendation.

Inspect Tread Depth

Florida roads can be slippery during winter rains. Ensure your tires have enough tread to maintain good traction. A tread depth of at least 2/32" is legally required, but replacing tires at 4/32" is safer.

Rotate Your Tires

Regular tire rotation (every 5,000-7,500 miles) promotes even wear and prolongs tire life. Check your vehicle’s manual for specific recommendations.

Watch for Road Hazards

Winter rains can lead to slick roads and potholes. Avoid driving through standing water or over debris that could damage your tires.

Maintain a Clean Car

Sand and dirt from coastal areas can build up on your tires and undercarriage. Regular cleaning prevents corrosion and ensures optimal performance.

Be Prepared for Rainy Conditions

Florida winters can bring heavy rains, so ensure your tires are ready for wet surfaces. Look for signs of uneven wear or bald spots that could cause hydroplaning.
